Fron.in

// How we verify

Methodology

fron.in is a buying directory, and a directory is only worth its verification. This page is the contract: what each status means, what gets a listing in or thrown out, where our sources come from, and a live quality gate that goes red in public when our own data fails our own checks.

// Verification ladder

Five rungs, plain criteria

Every seller on the site carries exactly one of these statuses. The battery is the status — there is no hidden score behind it.

Manually reviewed: exact pages, GST/business signals, warranty wording confirmed by us.

Credible public sources

// Listing rules

What gets a listing in — and thrown out

Exact product pages only

A buy link must point at the exact page selling the exact product. Seller homepages, collection pages, category pages and search-result URLs are rejected by the gate below — a listing without an exact page is not a listing, it is an ad.

The GST invoice column

When a listing says a GST invoice is available, it means the seller states it issues GST-compliant invoices with a GSTIN — which is what lets a business buyer claim input tax credit. Where we could not confirm it, the column says so instead of guessing.

Warranty taxonomy

Every listing carries one of five warranty labels. They mean exactly this, nothing more:

  • manufacturer_indiaThe brand honors the warranty in India through its official channel — the strongest case for a buyer.
  • seller_warrantyThe seller backs the product with its own warranty or support; the manufacturer’s India warranty is not confirmed.
  • international_warrantyA warranty exists, but it is international — claims may have to be routed outside India, at your cost and time.
  • no_warrantyNo warranty is stated, or the seller explicitly sells without one.
  • unclearWarranty wording exists but is ambiguous or not yet confirmed by us — treat as unknown until it says otherwise.

// The gate

The data-quality gate, in public

Every listing is re-validated against blocking checks each time this page renders: valid http(s) exact product URL, known product and seller records, non-generic paths, no duplicates, and evidence on file whose URL matches the exact product page. When our data fails, this badge goes red — here, where you can see it.

Quarantine policy: listings that fail re-verification lose their buy link until re-confirmed.

// What we do not verify

The limits, stated plainly

What we do not verify: we do not test products, we do not audit sellers' service quality, and we cannot guarantee price or stock at checkout. Prices are as shown on the seller's page on the date checked and may exclude shipping; confirm GST treatment and the final amount with the seller.

// Update cadence

How fresh is fresh

Listings are re-checked on a rolling basis; every listing shows its own last-checked date. We do not promise a fixed schedule — we promise the date is real.
